The department of Neurology effectively combines the twin duties of patient care and academics. The outpatient services are provided for problems like headache, epilepsy, demyelinating diseases etc. The services are also offered to patients referred by departments such as Medicine, ENT, Trauma, Ophthalmology etc. Critical care is provided for patients with acute cerebrovascular accidents including stroke, status epilepticus and Guillain Barre syndrome.

An EEG unit and state-of-the-art neuro imaging facilities, such as MRI and CT scan, enable rapid and accurate diagnosis. This department functions with the holistic view of treating the neurologically ill patients to rehabilitate them and render their lives socially and economically productive.

The grand rounds and academic programmes are educative and informative for both the undergraduate and postgraduate students.
