The Department of Pulmonology is well-equipped, catering to all aspects of respiratory diseases. Computerised lung function testing, fibre-optic bronchoscopy, broncho-alveolar lavage and ultra sound / CT guided FNACs make sense to obscure lung lesions and problems. Allergy tests with a wide selection of allergens are done routinely.

Special clinics for asthma, allergy, tuberculosis and occupational lung diseases are conducted. In treatment of patients with obstructive lung pathology, special attention is given to education programmes - training of patients to skills of inhaler using, correct taking of medical products, keeping a self-checking card besides medicamentous therapy. The critically ill inpatients are managed in the Intensive Respiratory Care Unit.
