The surgery ward admits patients needing surgical intervention after they are screened in the outpatient wing. The students receive their clinical training in both the places. An exclusive trauma care centre operates ably supported by all departments.The operation theatre complex houses state-of-the-art equipment to suit all types of surgical procedures from repair of a hernia to head and neck cancer surgery and reconstruction. Laparoscopic surgeries are done routinely and provide less discomfort to the patient and an earlier discharge. The harmonic scalpel is used widely, to minimize blood loss.
